SFL Preparation to Co-facilitate the Community Captain Training


Attention Community Captain Leads:


On Wednesday, January 23rd at 6:00pm in South Florida, you and 3 other Community Captain Leads from South Florida Disaster Resilience neighborhoods will participate in a planning meeting on Zoom to prepare you to co-facilitate the Community Captain Training Overview on January 29th.  


Here are the skills you have signed up to present:


  • Yanick Landess: Collaborating Online with ZOOM (Slides 12 - 23)

  • Cartine Vilson: Neighborhood Communications and Status Reports to Community Captains from Residents (Slides 65 - 73)

  • Adrian Madriz: Co-Design a Housing & Emergency Shelter Survey Using Google Forms (Slides 74 - 88)

  • Trenise Bryant: Program Information & What is expected of Community Captains (Slides 2-11)


Make sure that you have your Zoom Account activated and you that you have a computer and working WiFi during the time of the scheduled meeting. Bring your cell phone: Wednesday, January 23rd at 6:00pm.

Need 20 portable flashlights

Trenise, 

Wouldn't you prefer to have solar lights to portable flashlights with batteries?  The solar lights will work for years with no battery change.  It is often hard to get batteries in disaster zones.
