TAS is recruiting civic groups and concerned citizens to join the Biscayne Bay Coalition (BBC). The Coalition advocates for the integrity, preservation and restoration of a healthy, viable Biscayne Bay.
These are some of the current threats to Biscayne Bay:
- Coastal Development & Habitat Loss
- Water Quantity and Quality
- Algal Blooms
- Coral Diseases
- Overfishing
- Introduction of Exotics
These are some of the things the Coalition seeks to accomplish:
- Improve Restoration Efforts
- Build Awareness and Public Support
- Funding for Environmental & Economic Research Studies
- Acquire better signage
