Join elected officials, federal agency representatives, experts from local governments, scientists, nonprofit and business leaders, and others for this year’sSoutheast Florida Regional Climate Leadership Summit, held Thursday, November 7, and Friday, November 8, 2013, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale.
Highlights of this year’s Summit will include:
- Congressional Town Hall featuring members of Congress from southeast Florida and other coastal states
- Workshop on innovative tools for local adaptation
- Panel featuring local officials from the Northeast and mid-Atlantic discussing recovery from Superstorm Sandy
- Panel highlighting federal agency leadership on climate issues
- Many other panels and speakers

The Compact was formalized following the 2009 Southeast Florida Climate Leadership Summit, when elected officials came together to discuss challenges and strategies for responding to the impacts of climate change. The Compact outlines an on-going collaborative effort among the Compact Counties to foster sustainability and climate resilience at a regional scale.
This website provides a regional clearinghouse for news, documents and events related to the Regional Compact. The Compact Counties also maintain pages related to the Regional Compact, accessible via the logos on this page as well as on theRelated Links page.
